CURRICULUM VITAE
My name is Anna Saloustrou and I was born in 1962 in Heraklion, Crete, where I currently reside.
I graduated in 1983 from the Sports Academy of Athens, where I worked as a professor of Physical Education until August 2018. I attended seminars and organized programs in Cultural Education, Environment, and Health Education.
I have been actively involved in art since 1990. My interests include painting, sculpture, and installations. Materials, color, design, and technology are all very important aspects of my artistic expression, while my work is also influenced by the developments in the fields of mathematics, physics, informatics, as well as the social and political components of everyday life. Ancient civilizations, especially the Minoan civilization, are particularly fascinating to me.
I am self-taught. I believe in lifelong learning and training as well as in continuous and uninterrupted artistic creation. Since 2018, I have been attending a three-year cycle of Seminars on Art History, held by Dr. Efi Fountoulaki.
My work is displayed in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete in Rethymno, in the “Olivepress” Museum of Contemporary Art of Chania, in the Municipal Gallery of Heraklion, in the Museum of Fine Arts of Heraklion, both in public spaces and private collections.

- 6 July 2017 – Theatrical production by Antonis Perantonakis with students of the “Notos” Theater School and his partners. Part of: “Orators and Hollow Men” (Nikos Kazantzakis – Thomas Eliot) – production: Kazantzakis Museum: “Traveling….England” (Myrtia, 12-16 July 2017).
- A special installation-presentation for Manousos Manouras in the place where his ‘school’ used to be.
